Lighting Inspiration

I'm hoping to create something subtle and attractive with diffuse "realistic" light instead of the harsh cartoony FormZ stuff we often see.

Anyhow... my inspiration is the "ariel" lamp by Ron Rezek out of Ashland Oregon.

To make Renderzone renderings faster, make the window really small (300 x 400 pixels). You can also fiddle with Display Options > Renderzone Options to reduce the quality. And you can put most of the geometry on a layer that you turn off.

To get the glow to show, you can fake it with Light Glow OR you can try the Radiozity (Initialize Radiozity, Generate Radiozity, then Renderzone).
